MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – The 9th edition of the Day of German Economy in Minsk will be held on 16 November, Chairman of the German-Belarusian Economic Club Hovsep Voskanyan told reporters, BelTA has learned.
The event will focus on professional personnel in Belarus. It is held by the German-Belarusian Economic Club in cooperation with the Representation of German Economy in Belarus under the patronage of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The main goal of the days is to introduce the Belarusian business community to the German companies operating in Belarus, to discuss pressing issues of economic development and promote trade and economic relations, industrial and investment cooperation between Belarusian and German enterprises,” Hovsep Voskanyan noted.
According to him, the theme of professional personnel will be viewed not only in the context of the problems facing Belarus enterprises with the German capital. It will be examined as one of the critical factors required for running a successful business, promoting competitiveness and sustainable growth and as an important criteria for making investment decisions.
The program of the Day of German Economy involves two panel discussions, each with its own thematic focus: vocational and managerial skills. The first discussion will be dedicated to the vocational education system in Belarus and the experience of German companies in transfer of the dual education system elements. It will be held in the format of an extraordinary session of the Belarusian-German working group “Professional Education”. The second discussion will focus on training specialists in universities and qualifications of managerial staff in the context of bilateral cooperation.
Participating in the discussions will be representatives of German business in Belarus, educational institutions and government bodies of the two countries, ministries and agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany, German and Belarusian enterprises.
The participants of the already traditional event will receive further information on the activities of German companies in Belarus, will be able to establish contacts and expand partnerships.
