MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Minsk will host the 20th edition of the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum on 13 to 16 October, head of the energy efficiency department at the Belarusian Energy Ministry Mikhail Malashenko said at a press conference on 7 October, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Malashenko said that this year’s program of the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum includes the international expo Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro (Energy Expo) and the Energy and Ecology Congress. All in all, the program of the forum features 20 events. Some events of the 79th General Meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission will be held as part of the forum.
The Belarusian Energy Ministry has plans to sign a number of cooperation agreements with foreign partners, including in the area of renewable energy. “We are talking about large energy companies, including German ones, and companies that provide IT services to energy producers and industrial enterprises,” Mikhail Malashenko explained.
Partaking in Energy Expo will be some 300 companies from 15 countries, namely Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Czechia, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, and China. For the first time, the list of participants will include representatives of 32 Chinese innovative companies. Foreign exhibitors will make up one-fifth of the total number of participants. The expo will showcase the latest developments in power engineering, ecology, and energy conservation by such foreign companies as Siemens, ABB, Caterpillar, Tavrida Electric, Wilo, Filter, and Bertsch.
The expo will feature stands of the Belarusian Energy Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the State Science and Technology Committee, and the energy efficiency department at the State Committee for Standardization. For example, the Ministry of Natural Resources will present a new concept of sustainable development of urban and rural areas.
The Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum is aimed at showcasing the latest science and technology achievements in power engineering, energy conservation, automation, electronics, environmental protection, and use of renewable sources of energy.
