MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The ninth edition of the Russian National Banking Forum will take place in Minsk on 24-26 September, BelTA learned from the Association of Belarusian Banks. The event has been organized with the support of the association.
“The Russian National Banking Forum is a joint project of the Association of Russian Banks and the National Banking Club. Previously, the forum was held in Montenegro and Croatia. The decision to hold the ninth edition of the forum in Minsk was made due to the current geopolitical situation,” the association explained.
The forum will be themed around the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the relations between banks and regulators. Partaking in the event will be representatives of government agencies, integration organizations, central banks, ministries, and the banks of the EEU.
The participants of the forum will also discuss the role of the Russian banking system in the economic development of the EEU and the challenges and prospects of the regulation of banking activities on the territory of the union. Besides, they will talk over the issues of monetary and financial integration in the Eurasian Economic Union and the expansion of the use of national currencies by the CIS member states in mutual transactions.
