Minsk Oblast, Chinese Lanzhou to step up cooperation in tourism

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Minsk Oblast and the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China will step up cooperation in the sphere of tourism, BelTA learned from representatives of the Sport and Tourism Office of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

The Sport and Tourism Office has signed an agreement on cooperation in tourism with the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Lanzhou. In Minsk Oblast potential tourists from this region of China are primarily interested in historical and cultural places of interest, farm tourism and ecological tourism, healthcare tourism. It is necessary to raise their awareness about any routes they may be interested in. This information should be available in China. This is why many tourism websites will be translated into Chinese. Direction signs in Chinese are already being installed in a number of places of interest in Minsk Oblast.

A presentation of the tourism potential of Minsk Oblast and Lanzhou took place in Minsk. Representatives of the Lanzhou city administration, travel agencies, and other parties from China took part in it.

Lanzhou is a well-developed industrial hub with over 3 million residents. Freight trains shuttle between Minsk and Lanzhou.
