MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – Minsk Motor Plant intends to launch regular supplies to a new manufacturer of special-purpose machinery based in the Russian city of Chita, BelTA learned from the press service of Minsk Motor Plant.

The cooperation with the Russian company was established in 2019, when the new plant ordered a test engine for trials as it was planning to use this model in single-bucket wheel loaders with the carrying capacity of 3 tonnes.

Minsk Motor Plant designed a new version of its engine Д-245.5-1469 for the Russian enterprise. At the request of the client, Minsk Motor Plant equipped the new engine with several sensors, which is usually the job of clients. The first batch of such engines was delivered to Chita in 2020.

The new enterprise to produce front-end loaders has fully come into operation recently. Its production capacity is around 50 special-purpose vehicles a year. End customers are industrial, mining, and road-building enterprises. There are plans to start selling special-purpose machinery to enterprises of the forestry industry and agriculture in the future. The loaders will be produced with the help of a modern assembly line. The enterprise will also make attached implements to vehicles.

The company that opened the plant in Chita specializes in sales and maintenance of special-purpose machines. It has operated since 2009. Thanks to the company’s considerable experience in satisfying clients’ requirements, these loaders are expected to enjoy a high demand. According to the company’s head, loaders will use engines of Minsk Motor Plant. The Belarusian company can expect orders for new batches.

Minsk Motor Plant is a producer of modern diesel, gas-diesel and gas-fueled engines. The company specializes in the development, design and manufacture of modern three-, four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines. The company produces more than 100 modifications of engines ranging from 7 to 330 kW, designed for agricultural, road-building and harvesting equipment, trucks and buses, power plants, compressors and other units. Its engines are supplied to conveyors of 49 enterprises in Belarus, CIS and non-CIS countries. The company sells into more than 50 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and Latin America.
