Minsk Motor Plant signs export contracts at exhibition in Serbia

MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ) has signed export contracts at the exhibition in Serbia, BelTA learned from the press service of Minsk Motor Plant.

Aleksandr Rogozhnik, director of Minsk Motor Plant, visited Serbia as a member of the government delegation headed by Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik. The industrial potential of Belarus was presented in the city of Novi Sad during the 88th International Agricultural Fair. The exposition also showcased products of Minsk Motor Plant - engine D-245.2S3A and diesel generator MDG 13/10. The exhibition was visited by officials from Serbia, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the Economic Chamber of Serbia, and representatives of Serbian business.

“The interest in MMZ products was huge. The representatives of the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia stated the need to familiarize its specialists with the firefighting equipment produced in Belarus at the MMZ branch in Stolbtsy. We are considering the possibility of joint production of fire fighting vehicles in Serbia,” the press service said.

During business meetings agreements were reached to promote MMZ special vehicles in the Serbian and Hungarian markets. In particular, an agreement was signed with Agropanonka to sell generator and compressor stations in Serbia.

Minsk Motor Plant is a producer of modern diesel, gas-diesel and gas-fueled engines. The company specializes in the development, design and manufacture of modern three-, four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines. The company produces more than 100 modifications of engines ranging from 7 to 330 kW, designed for agricultural, road-building and harvesting equipment, trucks and buses, power plants, compressors and other units. MMZ engines are supplied to assembly lines of 49 enterprises in Belarus, the CIS and non-CIS countries. The company sells into more than 50 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and Latin America. The engines are manufactured using components from world-renowned companies.
