MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Minsk has made the top ten of the ranking European Cities and Regions of the Future 2016/17 compiled by fDi Intelligence, a data division of the Financial Times group, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization.
“European Cities and Regions of the Future 2016/17 compiled by fDi Intelligence is an authoritative ranking of best European cities for investment and doing business,” the national agency said.
Belarus’ application to the ranking had been prepared and presented to the international jury by the National Agency of Investment and Privatization. The experts ranked the Belarusian capital second in the Cost Effectiveness category and tenth in the FDI Strategy category.
This year’s ranking features 223 cities evaluated by fDi’s leading experts according to ninety-six independent criteria, including economic potential, human capital and lifestyle, cost effectiveness, infrastructure, business friendliness, and FDI attraction strategy. The cities were also divided in categories according to their size (large, mid-sized, small, and micro).
European Cities and Regions of the Future 2016/17 awards will be presented as part of the international real estate fair MIPIM in Cannes, France on 15 March 2016.
