MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) - Prospects for expanding cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank were reviewed during the fifth EU-Belarus Dialogue on Economic and Financial Issues, BelTA learned from the press service of the Finance Ministry.
“On 8-9 June the Finance Ministry hosted the fifth Belarus-EU Dialogue on Economic and Financial Issues. During the consultations, the parties reviewed in detail the entire set of macroeconomic and financial issues, macroeconomic developments and structural reform challenges. The parties also examined the prospects for expanding cooperation between Belarus and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank,” the Finance Ministry informed.
The next round of the Dialogue on Economic and Financial Issues is scheduled to take place in Brussels in 2017.
At the consultations the Belarusian side was represented by Deputy Finance Minister Maxim Yermolovich, First Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Zaborovsky, representatives of the Finance Ministry, the Economy Ministry and the National Bank. The EU mission team included head of the EU Delegation in Belarus Andrea Wiktorin, experts of the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. The team was led by Mr Heliodoro Temprano Arroyo from the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission.
