MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – The 9th Russian National Banking Forum will take place in Minsk on 24-26 September, BelTA learnt from the Association of the Belarusian Banks.
“The Russian National Banking Forum is a joint project of the Association of the Russian Banks and the National Banking Club, which marks its 9th anniversary in 2015. The forum was previously held in Montenegro and Croatia. However, due to the current geopolitical situation, a decision was taken to hold the forum in Minsk this time,” the association said.
The event will highlight the European Economic Union (EEU) project and the ooperation between banks and regulators. Partaking in the forum will be representatives of the government bodies, integration associations, central banks, ministries and agencies, and the EEU banks.
It is expected that the participants of the forum will discuss the role of the Russian banking system in the economic development of the EEU, the problems and prospects of regulating the activity of credit organizations in the union. The meeting will also highlight monetary and financial integration in the Eurasian Economic Union and the expansion of the use of national currencies of the CIS countries in bilateral transactions.
