MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – A number of events will be offered to guests and participants of the Minsk Days in Moscow on 10-11 October, BelTA learned from the Minsk City Executive Committee website.
The Minsk delegation’s visit to Moscow will begin with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the Unknown Soldier Tomb and the commemorative plaques of the hero cities of Minsk and Brest at the Kremlin wall. Members of the Moscow parliament and the Minsk city council of deputies will have a meeting. Youth chambers representing Minsk and Moscow will sign an agreement on cooperation.
The sides are expected to decide how much Belarusian food and what foods Moscow will get in 2018. Other documents will be signed as well, including a memorandum on cooperation in healthcare between the Healthcare Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Healthcare Department of the Moscow city administration.
Several fairs will be arranged at several sites in Moscow to sell Belarusian products as from 10 October.
The cultural program will be full of events. An exhibition dedicated to the 950th anniversary of Minsk will be open in the Moscow Museum on 10-21 October. A ceremony to open Minsk Days in Moscow will take place at the Helikon-Opera Theater in the evening on 10 October. Viewers will be treated to a concert by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. The evening will end with a reception on behalf of Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets.
A Moscow-Minsk business cooperation forum will take place in the Business and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia on 11 October. The forum will focus on the advancement of relations between the two cities, on the infrastructure of large cities, modern technologies, and tourism. Roundtable sessions will be held to discuss cooperation of state-run healthcare organizations and innovative activities in the operation of libraries.
Minsk Days in Moscow have been held on a regular basis since 2012.
