MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – Plans have been made to hold the international banking and finance forum Minsk Business Meetings on 28 October ahead of the CIS Heads of Government Council, Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev told reporters on 12 July, BelTA has learned.
“We have plans to bring together representatives of the business sector, financial institutions, banks and public figures. We need to discuss how to make our economy stable under the current conditions and overcome the difficulties that are facing the Belarusian economy and the economies of other CIS member states,” Sergei Lebedev stressed.
The draft agenda for the CIS Heads of Government Council is currently under discussion in Minsk at the meeting of the council of permanent plenipotentiaries of the CIS member states in statutory and other bodies of the CIS. The permanent plenipotentiaries have considered the draft resolution of the CIS Heads of State Council on adapting the Commonwealth of Independent States to the modern reality. Participants of the session are also supposed to draft agendas for the sessions of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the CIS Heads of State Council scheduled to take place in Bishkek on 15 and 16 September.
