MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – Minsk Bearing Plant (MPZ trademark) has finished a retooling program, which implementation began back in 2010, BelTA has learned.
On 28 December the company commissioned an innovative heat treatment furnace Cieffe GKM 2000/1. It is the final, 41st unit of the new and modernized equipment installed as part of the company’s retooling program. Work on the program began in 2010. The company intended to finish it within several years. Retooling efforts were resumed with the arrival of Anatoly Savenok, who was put in charge of the company in October 2019. MPZ will welcome in 2021 as a fully retooled enterprise.
According to MPZ Director General Anatoly Savenok, the retooling program cost a total of €44 million. All the 26 steps of the program have been fulfilled, advancing MPZ to new technological heights. The executive went on saying: “The program was completed ahead of the great work to increase the output capacity, decommission outdated facilities, and bolster our competitive advantage on international markets thanks to innovative components.”
