Minister: Belarus, UAE develop cooperation in spirit of friendship, mutual understanding

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) - Cooperation between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates is developing in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, Belarusian Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) Aleksei Bogdanov said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh, BelTA learned from the MART press service.

Apart from mutual trade, the parties discussed measures of antimonopoly policy and protection of competition, regulation in public procurement and the consumer market. They also agreed to develop interdepartmental ties.

Earlier, the minister met with the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Eskisehir (Turkiye), as well as head of the Turkish company Albayrak Makine Elektronik San. ve Tic A.C. Gurhan Albayrak. The parties discussed opportunities for expanding export-import operations, including through the use of the parallel import mechanism.
