MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus is taking concrete steps to join the WTO, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told media, BelTA has learned.
Vladimir Makei noted that work is underway on concrete steps towards the WTO accession. “We are working with our partners, those whose opinion will matter as a decision on accession to the WTO is made. Normal routine work is in progress,” said the Minister. He stressed that it will be stepped up in the near future.
Vladimir Makei added that according to the instructions of the head of state a series of organizational measures connected with the forthcoming accession to the WTO has been adopted.
Commenting on the anticipated modernization of the visa regime, the Minister said that the work is underway this direction, including with stakeholders concerned.
