MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – The third Belarusian-Spanish business forum will take place in Madrid. Its preparations were discussed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France with concurrent accreditation to Spain Pavel Latushko at the meetings in the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of Spain and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Spain.
While in Madrid, Pavel Latushko met with Chief of Staff of the Spanish Prime Minister Jorge Moragas Sanchez to discuss the state and prospects of the Belarusian-Spanish relations in the political, economic and humanitarian areas.
The Belarusian diplomat also met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain to talk over the organization of joint events aimed at expanding economic, investment and tourism cooperation, operation of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Spain, and also Belarus-EU relations. The discussed issues included the prospects of establishing cooperation between the capitals of Belarus and Spain, the organization of a visit to Madrid for representatives of the Minsk City Hall and the development of cooperation in tourism.
Pavel Latushko met with representatives of Spanish companies interested in developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Belarus.
The meeting with the Belarusian diaspora highlighted the preparations to celebrate Victory Day and Belarus’ Independence Day in Madrid.
