Made in Belarus expo opens in Almaty

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – A large-scale exhibition of Belarusian goods Made in Belarus opened in the Atakent International Exhibition Center in Almaty on 9 April, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The expo features Belarusian mechanical engineering and mining, petrochemicals and transport, household appliances and food products, consumer goods, new solutions and medical tourism. All in all, more than 300 brands from Belarus are on display.

For example, Minsk Tractor Works presented its farm machines adapted for Kazakhstan. Tractor BELARUS 921.3 was designed for gardening and is much smaller than regular machinery. BelAZ presented mockup models of its 90-tonne dump trucks BelAZ 7558. Such machines are used in Kazakhstan’s quarries. Belshina showcases a new lineup of Artmotion car tires. Brest Electrotechnical Plant displays automatic devices for railways, communications and telecommunications. These solutions are already in operation along the Almaty-Anrahai-Chu railway section and at the stations of Atyrau Refinery.

The expo is also an important showcase event for Belarusian solutions and knowhow. Visitors can see Belarusian anti-tumor medicines, equipment for fragmentation and classification of mineral resources, new materials and products based on them that have applications in multiple areas, including space and aviation, construction, medicine, defense and security. 

A Kazakhstan-Belarus business forum took place in the Atakent International Exhibition Center on 9 April. Participants of the forum discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation, joint projects and mutual investment, cooperation in the manufacturing industry, financial support for exports, cooperation in healthcare and tourism.

The expo and the business forum have been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Organizational support is provided by the Belarusian Embassy in Kazakhstan, Almaty municipal administration, the Almaty Chamber of Commerce and Investments. The technical organizer is Belinterexpo. The expo will run through 12 April.
