MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko urged to analyze the formation of retail prices for fruits and vegetables during the visit to Minsk Vegetable Factory on 31 July, BelTA has learned.
The head of state pointed out that the prices for fruits and vegetables in retail networks are two times higher than procurement prices. He gave an instruction to study this issue and inform him about the results.
“Alexander Lukashenko noted that the government must fulfill his instructions regarding the protection of the domestic market. Spanish and Dutch vegetables and fruits are sold on the Belarusian market, while we are doing our best to penetrate the markets of Africa and China. “Is it normal? No. Sort the things out,” the President said.
