MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – Belarus and China have serious joint plans concerning a large number of matters starting with efforts in the international arena and ending with concrete trade and economic projects. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in his Address to the nation and the parliament on 31 March, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “But we are striving for more. We have very serious plans, which, as you know, we have recently discussed at the top level with Xi Jinping during the state visit to China. The plans concern a large number of matters starting with efforts in the international arena and ending with concrete trade and economic projects.”
In his words, the most important result of that meeting was the further formalization of the special nature of the truly trustful relations between Great China and Belarus. It causes envy in many countries across the globe.
The interlinking of the Eurasian Economic Union and China’s Belt and Road initiative should get realistic forms, Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
