MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Portugal President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“I hope that the year 2021 will be marked with concrete results of cooperation between Belarus and Portugal with a special emphasis on trade ties. Our previous agreement, including the one on the establishment of the joint economic commission, will be useful,” the message of greetings reads.
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the pandemic and the financial crisis which aggravated existing contradictions in the world showed that you can cope with serious challenges and resume efforts to build strong and prosperous countries only with the help of well-considered and careful decisions at the global and national levels, mutual help of all states, consolidation and eradication of any dividing lines, respect for each other.
