Lukashenko recommends Belkoopsoyuz to promote its own production

MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – Own manufacturing is a great way to build up the capacity of Belkoopsoyuz, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the general meeting of the Belarusian National Union of Consumer Societies Belkoopsoyuz on 8 October, BelTA informs.

“Own manufacturing is a serious reserve for building up the economic capacity and generating additional profits. Moreover, you have your own stores. But let's be honest. Not all of your products are popular. Some products do not sell well,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

According to him, the demand for canned fruit remains low. As of 1 September this year, their stocks in warehouses nearly equalled production output of five months. “What are you doing in such a situation? You are increasing the output by 22% instead of changing the recipe, assortment, and eventually selling what you have. It's a weird decision,” the president noted.

The head of state recalled his visit to bakery in Svisloch in the summer. When he asked the bakery chief about the demand, he said that the products made by the bakery sell like crazy. Upgrade of production facilities is important, but an experienced and skilled team is above all else, I mean a safe pair of hands and the technology make all the difference,” he emphasized.
