MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – The issue of prices for gas transportation services on the common EAEU market remains unsettled, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the beginning of the video conference meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on 19 May, BelTA informs.
“The issue of prices for gas transportation services on the common EAEU market remains unsettled. We could not come up with a final mutually acceptable solution for many years. And the issue becomes even more important. Today we should reach a much needed consensus,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
Speaking about the agenda, he remarked that the approval of the strategic areas of the development of Eurasian integration until 2025 is on top of that. “This document is a plan of action aimed at deepening our relations and a sort of turning point on the way to the restoration and acceleration of economic development in our countries,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The president remarked that the process to prepare the document was not easy, but on the whole the countries managed to make harmonized decisions on all aspects of deepening integration. In this context, he thanked all the participants for constructive approaches.
