MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko inspected progress of the harvesting campaign in the country on Sunday, 30 July, BelTA has learned.
The head of state spent this Sunday aboard a helicopter. From up high the president evaluated progress of the harvesting campaign in Minsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Brest Oblast.
As he was hearing out a report from Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats on Thursday, Aleksandr Lukashenko promised that the forthcoming week will be dedicated to agriculture. And the head of state will spend the week in Belarus’ west.
The president said: “I will try to travel [to the regions] in the near future. I intend to see the western part of the country. Grodno Oblast happens to be your area of responsibility. We might also have a look at Brest Oblast and review the performance of the Agriculture and Food Ministry as a whole.”
