MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – In 2024 Belarus-Russia trade in goods and services is projected to hit a record high of $59 billion - $60 billion, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev on 5 December, BelTA has learned.
The head of state emphasized that despite all the problems and various unresolved issues, this year will see a record high trade of $59 billion - $60 billion, including goods and services. This, according to the president, is a historical record between the two countries.
In recent years, the bilateral trade has demonstrated a steady growth. In 2023, the trade between Belarus and Russia amounted to a record $53 billion, which was up by 6% a year prior.
