BORISOV DISTRICT, 17 November (BelTA) – The warranty period for Belarus-made Geely cars may be extended up to five years. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said the warranty period should be extended as he addressed SZAO BelGee employees after the solemn ceremony held on 17 November to open BelGee Company’s new car factory, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko was convinced: “We should extend the warranty period to five years. We already offer four years and 100,000km of mileage. We need five years. It has to be done.”

The president reminded he had already suggested that Chinese partners and BelGee specialists should consider this possibility. “Every worker should keep in mind that they have to make a quality car that can be used for five years without any problems,” stressed the head of state.

Aftersales service is as important. The government was instructed to develop the chain of car service stations, which had been operating in various parts of the country for some time already. “Every car service station will have to allocate as much space as necessary for servicing Belarusian cars so that anyone could get his or her car repaired when necessary,” said the president.
