MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Logistics is a promising avenue of economic cooperation between Belarus and the People’s Republic of China. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei made the statement in an exclusive interview with BelTA in anticipation of the 25th anniversary of Belarusian-Chinese relations.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Belarus is located at the crossroads of important trade routes that connect the Baltic Sea with the Black Sea as well as Russia with the European Union. “We are working hard to develop sections of transcontinental transport corridors and improve the logistics infrastructure in our territory,” noted Vladimir Makei.
Vladimir Makei said he believes that this infrastructure and the transit potential can grow much larger together with the rising merchandise traffic from China to Europe along the new Silk Road.
