VITEBSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Delegations from Latvia and Poland will attend the forum focusing on innovative entrepreneurship in Vitebsk Oblast, BelTA learned from Konstantin Cherny, Deputy Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, on 10 November.
The forum will take place in Orsha on 17 November. Representatives of the private sector and government agencies of Latvia and Poland, owners and executives of small and medium businesses will take part in the forum as well as self-employed businessmen, managers and private investors, representatives of government agencies, government agencies in charge of supporting and developing entrepreneurship, and young people, who are going to present their promising products and startups.
Konstantin Cherny said that young people represent an important resource for business development, primarily innovative business. The projects the forum will feature will be related to economy, healthcare, energy and resource saving, information technologies, and other areas. They have been shortlisted and are of certain interest for companies. The best projects will be lauded by the organizers.
Participants of the forum are expected to discuss topical problems in the development of small and medium businesses such as legislation framework, infrastructure development, financial and credit support, the development of industrial business and innovative business, interaction between small and medium businesses, ways to deal with administrative barriers, and other things. Special training sessions will be organized in addition to panel sessions, a business matchmaking session, and a subcontracting session. The development of the private sector in Belarus will be showcased by the expositions focusing on Vitebsk Oblast development prospects in the manufacturing sector, logistics, and other branches, on Belarusian innovative R&D projects and innovative products. Youth innovative business projects and robot technologies will be in the spotlight, too.
It will be the third forum on record. The forum is meant to bolster interaction between scientific, educational, and manufacturing structures. It will help commercialize R&D results and incentivize innovative activity of Vitebsk Oblast companies.
The forum has been organized by the Vitebsk Oblast administration, the Orsha District administration, and the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center.
