Latest Belarusian furniture products on display in Uzbekistan

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – The latest Belarusian furniture products as well as materials used to make furniture and interior decoration will be on display during the international furniture expo MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2015 that will take place in Tashkent on 24-27 February, BelTA learned from Ruzhena Novitskaya, press secretary of the Belarusian woodworking and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom.

During the expo Belarus will be represented by Vitebskdrev, Rechitsadrev, Minskmebel, and the Ruzhany-based furniture factory. Over 200 companies from 24 countries are expected to take part in the expo.

The source noted that the Uzbekistan market is not a new one for Bellesbumprom companies, however, the potential is not fully explored. In the past Bellesbumprom companies supplied primarily wood chipboards and fiberboards, veneers, paper, pasteboard, and wallpapers to Uzbekistan. In 2014 for the sake of diversifying target markets Bellesbumprom and the enterprises worked to establish new contacts in Uzbekistan and find buyers. As a result, the first batches of furniture, timber and sawn timber were supplied. The volume of delivery of wood fiberboards to furniture manufacturers in Uzbekistan increased by 77.8%. The delivery of wood chemistry products rose by 46%.

Thus, the Uzbekistan market is quite a promising one for Bellesbumprom, BelTA has been told. By taking part in the expo in Tashkent, Bellesbumprom intends to reinforce its grasp of the market and reach for new ones in other regions of Central Asia.

According to Ruzhena Novitskaya, arrangements have already been made to hold business negotiations on the delivery of the products that will be showcased during the expo to Uzbekistan. The choice includes cabinet furniture and cushioned furniture for different pricing categories as well as wood chipboards, fiberboards, veneers, sawn timber and other products of the woodworking industry.

For many years MebelExpo Uzbekistan has been the only international specialized expo forum for Uzbekistan’s furniture industry to demonstrate the industry's latest achievements. The expo offers a major communication platform for specialists involved in all the stages of furniture production and sales. It brings together suppliers of new cutting-edge equipment, components, and materials as well as interior design experts. Following the established tradition MebelExpo Uzbekistan is held simultaneously with the international expo UzBuild, Uzbekistan’s top civil engineering expo.
