MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) does not plan to increase the country’s main interest rate, head of the monetary policy and economy study department of the National Bank Sergei Kalechits said during a roundtable hosted by BelTA on 25 August.
“The National Bank has no plans to increase the refinance rate as well as the rates of other regulation instruments. We believe their level is relatively high at present,” said Sergei Kalechits. “There are no fundamental factors that could push us towards increasing them either,” he added.
