TURIN, 10 September (BelTA) – One of Italy’s leading companies Granarolo is mulling over dairy production in Belarus, Belarus’ Vice Premier Mikhail Rusy told media on 10 September, BelTA informs.
Various sites are being considered for the implementation of the project. “We have already showed Granarolo a number of Belarusian dairies, including in Gomel, Turov, and Vitebsk,” said Mikhail Rusy. It is expected that one of the Belarusian companies will produce dairy products that have not been manufactured in the country before. This is functional food, delactosed milk and baby food.
Granarolo is Italy’s biggest agro-industrial group, operating eight production areas in Italy and two – in France. Granarolo annually processes about 7 million hectoliters of milk. The company is mainly focused on the domestic market, although its products are also sold to Europe, North America and Asia.
The Belarusian governmental delegation is in Italy on a visit on 9-10 September. On 9 September Andrei Kobyakov took part in the Belarusian National Day at Expo Milano 2015 and held talks with the Italian governmental delegation. Today the Belarusian delegation is on a visit to Italy’s Piedmont. Andrei Kobyakov is expected to meet with the President of Piedmont and the Mayor of Turin, visit Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Finmeccanica companies.
