MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Alireza Sanei, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry.
The minister praised the implementation of agreements reached in 2023 in Tehran as part of the 16th meeting of the Belarusian-Iranian commission on trade and economic cooperation and suggested considering the possibility of holding the 17th meeting of the intergovernmental commission in 2024 in Minsk. “The Industry Ministry will review the implementation of the previously reached agreements and outline proposals to intensify bilateral cooperation,” Aleksandr Yefimov said.
Alireza Sanei reaffirmed interest in the dynamic development of bilateral trade and economic relations and expressed confidence that there was a great potential for cooperation within the framework of the countries' membership in the SCO.
The parties paid much attention to the issues of further intensification of cooperation, including discussion of the possibilities of establishing trade facilities, development of industrial cooperation.
