Interline e-ticket agreement between Belavia and Scandinavian Airlines enters into force

MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – An interline e-ticket agreement between Belavia and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) took effect on 4 May, BelTA learned from the air company’s press service.

The agreement on mutual recognition of transportation documentation gives the right to one carrier to issue tickets on the flights of the partner carrier. Now the passengers can formalize a single ticket for the whole itinerary and use the most convenient connections with the flights operated by the participants of the agreement while traveling through the airports of Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga and Vilnius, Belavia said.

On 22 February 2015 the Belarusian air carrier and Scandinavian Airlines signed a paper ticket interline agreement.

Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus by the number of passengers and cargoes it transports. In January 2014 the Belarusian airline acquired a legal status of an open joint stock company. Belavia operates 27 aircraft. In Q1 2015 the airline carried nearly 295,500 passengers (up 9.3% as against January-March 2014).

SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System) is a multinational airline representing Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It is the leading carrier in the Scandinavian countries based in Stockholm (Sweden). The airline operates three main transshipment hubs: Copenhagen, Stockholm-Arlanda and Oslo.
