TASHKENT, 26 September (BelTA) – Huawei’s Innovation Center in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone will actively assist its resident companies with assimilating the most advanced IT-solutions, President of Huawei Central Asia and Caucasian Region James Chen aid at a press conference for foreign media during the Huawei Central Asian Innovation Day 2018 in Tashkent replying to a question from a BelTA correspondent.
James Chen noted that Huawei was among the first resident companies of the Great Stone park and is now an actively participant of its activities. At the beginning of 2014, during the visit of the Belarusian prime minister to the Huawei's headquarters in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, a cooperation agreement was signed between Great Stone and the Chinese company. A few months on, it was officially announced that Huawei became the first resident company of the Great Stone park. In November 2017, as the park completed the construction of basic facilities, an agreement was reached to set up a joint innovation center. Designing and construction works began soon afterwards, James Chen informed.
Inaugurated in May 2018, Huawei’s Innovation Center at the industrial park has been growing into a platform reflecting the most advanced solutions in information and communication technologies. James Chen believes the center has big future.
Huawei Central Asian Innovation Day 2018 in Tashkent gathered more than 200 representatives of government bodies, ministries and agencies, universities, media, and experts from 13 countries.
