MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Grodno will host the 3rd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in 2020, Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Kravtsov said at a press conference for regional and national mass media in Mosty on 9 October, BelTA has learned.
“The appropriate decision has been made. This is a great honor for the city. We have already started to get ready for the forum to hold it to a high standard,” Vladimir Kravtsov noted. According to him, the 3rd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine is scheduled for October 2020.
The forum traditionally includes events in various formats. It brings together representatives of government agencies and business circles of the two countries, and senior officials of local authorities. The forum is designed to showcase economy of regions of Belarus and Ukraine, develop new initiatives and forms of economic, investment, scientific and technical, cultural cooperation between regions.
The 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine was held in Gomel on 25-26 October 2018. Ukraine’s Zhitomir hosted the 2nd forum on 3-4 October 2019.
