MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Plans to organize branch exhibitions in the Great Stone Industrial Park are under discussion, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich told the media ahead of the meeting of the BelCCI Committee on Exhibition and Congress Activity on 22 May, BelTA has learned.
A trade and exhibition center with the total area of almost 22,000 square meters was built in the park. There are also plans to use about 50,000 square meters of open areas. The ground floor of the center is designed to host exhibitions, meetings, events, with the first floor designated for product presentations by the park resident companies.
“This is a new site. It should be also used for traditional branch exhibitions. We have the necessary infrastructure, including hotels and a business center,” said Vladimir Ulakhovich.
Attending the meeting of the BelCCI committee were more than 40 representatives of exhibition organizations, ministries and concern groups that supervise branch exhibitions. The participants of the meeting got familiar with the development prospects of the industrial park and its exhibition areas. One of the widely discussed issues was transport services for visitors of potential exhibitions. A high-speed highway to connect Minsk with the Great Stone Park was named as a good opportunity to address the matter.
