MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – The Great Stone industrial park expects to attract about 17 new residents in 2021, Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone Aleksandr Yaroshenko said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel on 10 January, BelTA has learned.
"In an interview at the end of 2021 I would want to say that we have 85 residents, as we planned. This is not an easy task. We need to attract about 17 more resident companies. Some groundwork has already been done on this front," Aleksandr Yaroshenko said.
“In 2020, we were looking to attract 20 resident companies but only 13 projects joined the park. Yet these projects are very good, some are really system-forming for us,” Aleksandr Yaroshenko said. As an example, he cited a project to set up a multimodal railway terminal with the participation of Germany, China, Belarus and Switzerland, the construction of which will begin this year.
In 2021, when the second phase of development of the park will begin, the construction of a second residential complex for 173 apartments and a second substation will commence too.
