MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) – Good infrastructure is being created in South Africa for the sake of servicing advanced technology Belarusian products, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Zimbabwe Andrei Molchan on 8 July.
According to the diplomat, a lot has been done already for the sake of forming dealership infrastructure, marketing and service infrastructures in countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. “It is difficult to secure a foothold on these markets without providing aftersales service to the advanced technology products sold on these markets. Western and Asian manufacturers are tough competitors,” remarked the Ambassador.
The steps that have been taken have secured a serious increase in the export of Belarusian advanced technology products such as OAO BelAZ vehicles.
On the whole, the choice of Belarusian exports shipped to the region is expanding. Now it includes linen fabrics, laser and optical equipment, light industry products.
