Golovchenko: Belarus-Russia economic cooperation is gaining momentum

MOSCOW, 15 April (BelTA) - Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia has been gaining momentum, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during the talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow on 15 April, BelTA has learned.

"Trade and economic cooperation has been gaining momentum. Last year mutual trade in goods and services exceeded $53 billion, showing an increase of 6.5%. These positive trends remain in place this year: in January-February we also observe an increase in trade over the successful period last year," Roman Golovchenko said.

"The momentum is very good. Of course, the situation is not easy. New challenges arise almost every day and we solve them together. But as we've said many times, it's much easier to do it together. This is the main point of the Union State integration," the Belarusian prime minister noted.
