MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – The ceremony to launch the Garlyk mining and processing factory is scheduled to take place on 31 March. Chairman of Belarus’ Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Ereshov discussed the plans in Ashgabat, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament.
The meeting was held as part of the working visit of Mikhail Myasnikovich to Turkmenistan from 15 to 18 March. “Mikhail Myasnikovich and Batyr Ereshov considered the matters related to the completion of the construction works and the solemn opening of the Garlyk mining and processing factory slated for 31 March to be attended by Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow,” the press service said.
The main goal of the working visit was to pay a visit to the Garlyk mining and processing factory and resolve the issues related to the completion and commissioning of the plant. “Mikhail Myasnikovich visited the mine for the extraction of potash ore, the facility for the production of potash fertilizers, administrative buildings, laboratories, and warehouses for the storage of potash ore and finished products. The Belarusian official reviewed the status of the construction project and the post-construction clean-up,” the press service added.
