MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – Foreign investors injected $4.1 billion in the Belarusian economy in H1 2024, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.
The biggest investors were businesses from the Russian Federation (66.8% of all investments), Cyprus (9.7%) and the United Arab Emirates (7.5%). The foreign direct investment was estimated at $3.1 billion, or 74.4% of all foreign investment.
In January - June 2024, Belarusian organizations invested $2.4 billion overseas. The bulk of it was injected in Russian business entities (89.1% of all investment). The direct investment accounted for 80.3%.
