MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Five tractor models made by the Belarusian tractor giant MTZ have passed certification trials and can now be sold on the market of the European Union, the company’s press service told BelTA.
Those are MTZ-952.7, 923.7, 1025.7, 1220.7, and 1221.7 tractors with Caterpillar engines.
MTZ General Designer Andrei Stasilevich said: “We successfully passed certification trials last year. We will soon get the relevant documents.”
MTZ is supposed to receive 100 Caterpillar engines in May 2021. The engines are compliant with the European environmental standards Stage 5. The first batch of tractors to be sold on the European market will be assembled in June. The company intends to start batch production in Q4 2021.
