First large Chinese company attracted to China-Belarus trade and logistics subpark

BEIJING, 16 May (BelTA-Xinhua) – The Chinese-Belarusian trade and logistics subpark in the industrial park Great Stone has managed to attract the first large Chinese company — the trade and industry corporation Yijing Lijia, Shandong Province, eastern China. The ceremony to sign the agreement on cooperation between the two sides took place the other day, BelTA learned from China Merchants Group representatives.

According to Hu Zheng, Chief Executive Officer of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, as the first large Chinese resident company in the subpark Yijing Lijia Corporation will assist with trade and economic cooperation and the coupling of manufacturing industries of Belarus and China in the future.

Hu Zheng said that the subpark is the largest project in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. Its construction is financed by a logistics company, which is part of China Merchants Group, and the industrial park. The ceremony to celebrate the end of the first stage of the subpark’s construction took place in Belarus on 12 May 2017.

According to Li Yiming, Vice Mayor of the city of Linyi, Shandong Province, the Chinese-Belarusian trade and logistics subpark will act as a springboard for the city to further penetrate the international market, step up exchange and cooperation with Belarus as well as participation in international cooperation within the framework of the One Belt, One Road initiative.
