MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – First 90-tonne BelAZ dump trucks were put into operation in Vietnam on 12 January, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in this country.
The ceremony was held in Quang Ninh Province. “The 90-tonne dump trucks BelAZ-75581 were assembled from SKD kits by Vinacomin (Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group) jointly with specialists of Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark). These are the first vehicles with such a large capacity in Vietnam,” the embassy noted.
In the presence of Belarusian diplomats, the assembled dump trucks were tested at a coal pit in Quang Ninh Province for the first time. The vehicles will be tested in the coal pit over the next two months, and after that the Vietnamese side will decide whether to buy another batch of up to 100 dump trucks. “Belarusian Ambassador Valery Sadokho attended the ceremony and noted that during the recent visit of the Belarusian President to Vietnam the leaders of the two countries agreed to move from trade to joint production of goods. The project to assemble and put into operation 90-tonne BelAZ dump trucks in Vietnam is a good example of the growing industrial cooperation between our countries,” the embassy stressed.
Representatives of the company Vinacomin pointed out that BelAZ dump trucks have a number of advantages over their competitors. For example, the model BelAZ-75581 is specially designed for opencast mining of minerals and can operate under different weather conditions.
