MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – A batch of 140-tonne haul trucks BelAZ-7513 has been delivered to Ukraine’s Metinvest Company, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian company.
“Three haul trucks are already in use in the mines of the Central Mining and Processing Plant. One truck is into operation at Yuzhny Mining and Processing Plant and has even been nicknamed Atlant, the press service said.
One of the main technical features of the trucks is a new light platform, which is 4 tonnes lighter than the traditional one. Thanks to this, the trucks can carry 140 tonnes of rock mass. The trucks also feature a 1500hp diesel engine and electromechanical alternating-current transmission. The trucks boast an individual design, which includes a new cabin with heated mirrors, a high comfort seat, an additional heater cab, an all-round vision system and an automatic fire extinguishing system.
In June Metinvest will get another 140-tonne haul truck. BelAZ plans to deliver three such trucks before the end of the year.
