MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - The delivery of 50 dual-mode trolleybuses for the city of Kharkov has been completed as part of industrial cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine, BelTA learned from the Embassy of Belarus in Ukraine.
The diplomatic mission noted that the passenger vehicles have been assembled on the basis of the Belarusian body MAZ-203T at the Polytechnoservice assembly plant in Brovary, Kiev Oblast.
The trolleybus can run up to 30km independently and does not require the construction of overhead lines and traction substations, and is therefore cost-saving for the city budget, the embassy noted.
The low-floor trolleybus is accessible to people with disabilities. It has air conditioners for the driver and passengers, a heating system, USB chargers and E-tickets validators. The trolleybus is charged up while driving and also in the trolleybus depot.
