MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – Eximgarant of Belarus and the Chinese company Sinosure signed an agreement on cooperation, BelTA has learned.
“An agreement with the world’s major export credit agency is a logical continuation of the Belarus-China cooperation in finance. The document will help attract Chinese investments to Belarus and will set up a platform for the discussion of joint Belarus-China projects involving instruments to insure financial risks,” General Director of Eximgarant of Belarus Gennady Mitskevich said.
According to him, the two companies will co-promote the products of the resident companies of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone in third countries. “The document will also give the Belarusian export and credit agencies the opportunity to provide insurance for Chinese and Belarusian export contracts.
“For instance, Eximgarant of Belarus has already started to work with the company Horizont that operates the Belarusian-Chinese joint venture Midea-Horizont. “This agreement is just a first step in our cooperation. We will try to communicate the news about the agreement and the opportunities it opens up to Belarusian companies,” Gennady Mitskevich noted.
For his part, Head of Sinosure Representative Office in the CIS Xie Zhongmin pointed out that the singing of the agreement was anticipated. “China and Belarus are strategic partners and have very friendly relations. The document can help propel economic cooperation to the next level,” Xie Zhongmin noted.
