MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Eight haul trucks BelAZ-75131 with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes have started working at an open-pit coal mine on Kalimantan Island, Indonesia, the BelAZ press service told BelTA.
The trucks were shipped to Indonesia by BelAZ’s Southeast Asia dealership – Belazia PTE LTD Company – in line with a contract signed with PT Darma Henwa Tbk Company, one of the largest contractors in the region.
Indonesian mining companies are well familiar with BelAZ trucks. They already use haul trucks with the carrying capacities of 45 tonnes, 55 tonnes, 110 tonnes, and 130 tonnes. According to BelAZ’s press service, foreign partners think highly of Belarusian trucks, which options and performance parameters match their requirements and working conditions. It is the decisive factor in favor of choosing vehicles of Belarusian make. Taking into account wishes of Indonesian partners and climate conditions BelAZ trucks are fitted with “tropical” options: properly selected rubber, an air conditioner, and a special cooling system.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world’s largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
