MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) - Egypt is interested in importing dairy products and vegetable oil from Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Center for Marketing.
The National Center for Marketing together with the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt and the Association of Egyptian Businessmen 40 a video conference on food trade with Egypt. The event drew together about forty Belarusian and Egyptian exporters and importers.
During the videoconference Belarusian producers made a presentation of of dairy products and vegetable oil, in the import of which Egypt is interested in. Meat products with the Halal certificate, sugar beets, oilseeds (flax), corn and others were noted as promising commodity items for export to Egypt. In turn, Egyptian exporters are ready to offer vegetables, fruits and seafood to the Belarusian market.
Director of the National Center for Marketing Nikolai Borisevich noted that the meeting is the starting point for mutually beneficial cooperation and that the center stands ready to act as a reliable bridge between the parties.
The National Center for Marketing will process applications for the supply of specific products and will assist with establishing new business contacts.
