MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Ecuador hopes for a wider advancement of its goods and services to the Belarusian market, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Larrea Davila said at a reception held on 23 May to mark Ecuador’s national holiday, the 195th anniversary of the Battle of Pichincha, BelTA has learned.
According to the diplomat, Ecuador has established close cooperation with Belarus on the principles of mutual respect and common values. The two countries exchange official visits at the highest level and are working out an efficient legal framework to promote cooperation in the advancement of investment and innovations.
“The advancement of Ecuadorian goods and services took mutual trade up. We would like our high-quality products such as cacao, coffee, bananas, exotic fruits, shrimps and tuna were present on the Belarusian market. The expectation for Ecuador’s trade accession to the Eurasian region will soon become a reality as Belarus supports the signing of the agreement on cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union,” the diplomat stressed.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the agreements that were reached with Belarus on its participation in the development of oil fields and oil production on the Amazonian selva of Ecuador with the use of the latest eco-friendly technologies.
The Ambassador also expressed confidence in good prospects of Belarus-Ecuador cultural educational contacts.
