Ecology Expo 2021, environmental forum due in Minsk on 3-5 June

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - The first international environmental exhibition-forum Ecology Expo 2021 and 16th national environmental forum will be held in Minsk on 3-5 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

The events will celebrate the Year of People’s Unity. "This is a unique opportunity for business growth, for exchange of best international environmental practices,” the press service stressed.

The exhibition-forum will showcase a set of innovative ideas, production and technological advances in environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources. Among the priorities are the Sustainable Development Goals, the transition to "green" technologies, support for sustainable consumption and production, environmentally friendly lifestyles.

The 16th national environmental forum will highlight the involvement of civil society in environmental decision-making. The forum will run the plenary session, thematic sections, also press events, a concert program, and national environmental contests.

"I am confident that thanks to our joint efforts Ecology Expo 2021 and 16th national environmental forum will become a national dialogue platform to explore new areas of the use of green technologies and to establish business contacts in environmental matters," Belarus’ Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk said.

The three-day event is expected to draw more than 250 delegates and guests, including international experts, representatives of environmental services, government bodies, educational and cultural institutions, public associations and mass media.
