Digital banking in spotlight at Minsk forum

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – The international forum Digital Banking: Technologies and Innovations will take place in Minsk on 24 April, the organizers of the event told BelTA.

The forum will gather representatives of the central banks of Belarus and Russia, Belarusian and foreign experts. They are expected to discuss prospects of the development of digital banking in Belarus and approaches to the development of financial services in Russia. The experience of developing and assimilating digital technologies and innovative products in the banking and financial industry of Ukraine, Latvia, and Kazakhstan will be presented.

There are plans to look into the improvement of the government policy on digital banking for the sake of raising the quality of banking products and other financial products as well as the tariff policy. Experts of leading companies in the area of digital technologies for remote banking will demonstrate their own solutions that allow banks to easily provide high-quality service to their customers.

The forum has been organized by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus with assistance of the company OOO UrSpectre and the financial analysis website Infobank.by. BelTA earlier quoted NBRB Deputy Chairman of the Board Sergei Dubkov as saying that preparations were in progress in Belarus to reform the digital banking regulations. The reform is expected to minimize the cost of banking finance and other kinds of finance for individuals and corporations.
